Scaling a fleet system is a unique challenge. Vehicles are erratic; they go offline, they send bursts of data, and they roam across time zones. A monolithic architecture simply cannot handle the load spikes of 500,000 trucks starting their shifts at 8 AM.
The Event-Driven Approach
We recommend using an Event Sourcing pattern. Instead of storing just the "current state" (e.g., Truck A is at Location X), store the stream of events.
